A New Season with Jeremy Enns - A True Digital Nomad
Tuesday Oct 25, 2022
Tuesday Oct 25, 2022
Today we are talking with Jeremy Enns, founder of Podcast Marketing Academy and Counterweight Creative. I have had the honor of knowing ( & becoming great friends with) Jeremy since he first joined LI in 2016 and have watched his businesses grow like crazy. Jeremy (& his partner Kelly) are true digital nomads in that they have been living all over the world for years while working on their ever-expanding businesses.
In this episode, we discuss digital nomad visas (& how things line up as they are supposed to), what the journey looks like from scrapping by to fully location independent, and why it is smart to build your business with a lifestyle-first mindset to avoid a lot of stressors that happen when you are growing your business.
We also get into why travel doesn't have to be the thing you build everything around, how having an exit strategy for your business is a positive thing especially when you are first starting it up, and how you know when you need to pivot or pull the plug.
What was your biggest takeaway from today's episode? Let us know over on Instagram!
TLDR
- Jeremy's location independent journey from scrapping-by to flourishing
- Why a lifestyle-first mindset is important
- Travel doesn't have to be the thing you build everything around
- Why exit strategies are important even when first starting out
- How do you know when to pivot vs pull the plug
- Process first, outcome second
- Sitting in discomfort can help you find your life purpose

How Short Term Rentals Allowed Robuilt to Quit His 9-5 (and make a lot of $)
Tuesday Oct 18, 2022
Tuesday Oct 18, 2022
Rob Abasolo is called the "King of Short Term Rentals" and he has used AirBnB to quit his job, make waaaay more money than before, and do the stuff he loves (like building tiny houses, renovating motels, and giving people epic experiences). But it wasn't always that way - in fact, his very first short term rental project that was supposed to take 3 months took 13!
It's no secret that I am a massive fan of real estate and short term rentals specifically, and so not only do Rob and I geek out on short term rentals on the podcast, but...
...we are also running a totally free 2 day workshop called "The 3 Biggest Myths About Short Term Rentals" on Oct 25th and 26th.
Click here to join the workshop - it's totally free!
So even if you don't know anything about short term rentals or if it's right for you, here's your chance to learn from two experts who learned the hard way!

A New Season with Craig Cannings - Freelancing Success
Tuesday Oct 11, 2022
Tuesday Oct 11, 2022
Today we are talking with Craig Cannings, co-owner (with his wife Kelly) of Freelance University, father to five daughters, and lover of travel which means he fits in here in every way possible. I had the opportunity to get to know Craig over the last year and I couldn't wait to get him on the podcast because he effortlessly spits out fantastic insights without even trying.
In this episode, we are getting into how building a business while raising little kids demands that you have systems in place, why lifestyle first was the precipice for going on this journey into entrepreneurship, and how can you navigate a season of life change (like a business failing) in a way that best suits your family & your future self. We also get real about productivity & non-negotiable time and the role they play in the statement "I don't have enough time to build a business of my own" which (hint, hint) you have more time than you realize.
If you want to enter into a new season of life, give this episode a listen because waiting for something to happen vs taking action is going to dictate your outcome and we give away some great insights and advice on how to make it happen.
What are your expectations for starting your own business timewise? Are you being realistic? Let us know over on Instagram!
Guest Bio
Craig Cannings is the co-founder of Freelance University with his wife, Kelly. Craig has had the privilege of helping over 20,000 students in 75 countries realize their dreams of launching a portable, freelance business (and lifestyle). Tuesday Oct 04, 2022
Today we are talking with Erica Hackman from The Nomadic Network who is also the owner of Decoding Online Dating. Erica and I go back a few years and she is one of my favorite people to talk to and it always seems like once we are together, we can spend hours upon hours talking about travel, and business, and even get into some deep topics effortlessly.
On this episode, we are getting into how people can ebb & flow from your life depending on the season you are currently in, why being comfortable being you can help you navigate your seasons of life, and how looking at your future through a lifestyle lens can make it less daunting and overwhelming. I adore our conversations and I am always learning and gaining so much great advice from my time talking with Erica.
When you look at the next 5 years from a lifestyle lens instead of a purely business mindset, what does it look like for you? Let us know over on Instagram!

A New Season with Christine Lozada - Drone Badass!
Tuesday Sep 13, 2022
Tuesday Sep 13, 2022
We mentioned this last week but for the next few episodes, I will be bringing on people who I have known for quite a while (or new friends) to discuss the seasons of life & entrepreneurship based on their path to location independence.
Today we are talking with Christine Lozada who is a travel creator, drone pilot, and podcast host of Everyday Badassery which is all about inspiring travel stories. She is all about travel and teaching thousands how to get the best shots using drones (and how not to destroy your drone in the process). You may recognize her from this year's Paradise Pack which included her course on How To Fly A Drone and since she is the "drone queen" you know you are learning from the best.
We are diving into how a single decision can set your life onto a new season, how you don't have to follow the path that you decided on if it isn't working for you, and why opening up to your inherent badassery may be the best thing to keep you moving forward. All of this plus so much more is on the table as I talk with the amazing Christine Lazada so grab your favorite beverage and enjoy this episode.
What is the most badassery thing you have done so far and what is still on the list? Let us know over on Instagram!
Guest Bio
Christine loves to explore the world from every angle - the land, underwater in the ocean while scuba diving, and from above in the sky with her three drones. As a travel creator, she captures the beauty of the places she travels to and tells stories that inspire and help others to discover new destinations.
She grew up in San Diego, California and after living the city life in SF and NYC while working in the corporate world of Walmart and Amazon, she realized the most badass thing she could do is to pursue a life of adventure and do things that help others to feel MORE alive: through travel, flying drones and living a more badass life.

Today we are diving into how we process negative reviews, steps to take to gleam any constructive criticism out of them, and how putting yourself in their shoes can make all the difference in how you feel about the review. Saying Goodbye...
Wednesday May 11, 2022
Wednesday May 11, 2022
This is a hard one as change is oftentimes difficult.
We are saying goodbye to one-half of the founding team at Location Indie and that is never easy. We are very excited about the new journey that he is going on and we get to watch him succeed in all the new ways that we know he will.
While we will miss our friend on the business end of things, he is still our friend and that will never change so family vacations, podcast guesting, and late-night phone calls will still be happening.
Don't worry though because the LI podcast, community, and Lifestyle Launch Academy is still going strong and won't be going away anytime soon.
Change isn't inherently bad but a chance to redesign, rethink, and reimagine a bigger and better version of your life and how you live it. This is a good thing!
We will miss you, brother!

Tuesday Apr 19, 2022
Tuesday Apr 19, 2022
Today we are discussing why we spent 20k on coaching, how it can fast track your progress, and why coaching is such a positive investment in your future.
You can get to the next level on your own or you can utilize the minds & experience of those who are already doing it and doing it well, the choice is always yours. We choose to invest in ourselves (& businesses) to get to the stage we want in a much faster fashion because we know that time is money and spending all that time to figure it out on our own wasn't going to benefit us in the long run.
Have you ever invested in yourself & your dreams? Has coaching ever helped you in the past? What was the most impactful thing that has happened to you with a coach?
